Waterfront homes can mean different things to different buyers. Some consider large lakes and rivers to be true waterfront homes others will consider anything that has a water view however small, even a trickling brook. The good news is that our area has lots of options.
Close to Barrington is Fox River. There are very few homes that have the river for a back yard and these are in Lake Barrington and Port Barrington. In Barrington Hills there are a few homes that have The Fox River as frontage across the residential road. Most of these homes do have wet and dry boat docks.
South Barrington is home to 45 lakes with The Lake of The Coves and South Lakes of The Coves offering waterfront homes around an 85 acre lake. Braymore Hills in Inverness is another subdivision with a substantially sized lake. Scattered throughout the area there are many smaller lakes offering waterfront homes.
