Situated off Miller Rd and N Old Barrington Rd, The Estates at Lake Barrington is close to the walking paths in Grassy Lake Forest Preserve. Walkers can enjoy a stroll in the countryside, or stride out for some exercise along this 6 mile trail among nature. You'll often see deer and birdlife so if wildlife is your passion, remember the binoculars or camera. The trail is gravel and provided for walking, bicycles are not permitted, nor skateboards; pooch can come as long as he is leashed. Remember to bring your little bags to keep the trail clean:).
Children living on this subdivision attend Barrington School District 220. The Estates at Lake Barrington is close to Fox River Grove for general day to day shopping, or for Metra and commuting by train to Chicago. Big box stores are available in nearby Lake Zurich. If driving to Chicago residents can choose to drop down into Barrington and head south to I-90 or go east over to Route 12 and south on Route 53. Commuting to Chicago takes 45 to 60 minutes and to O'Hare Airport about 30 minutes.
There is one thing for sure. If you want to get away from the busy towns and find your little bit of countryside in Lake Barrington, this neighborhood is one to consider.
