Barrington Homes and Real Estate-Price it Right to Sell!
December 31st 2006 brings a year of changing real estate markets to a close. Reports are indicating that we may have hit the bottom, although some reports indicate we may have a little way to go.
For buyers it is a great time to buy in Barrington. Interest rates are still relatively low. Some see an increase and hold back, but we must look at the overall trend of interest rates and compare them to years gone by. My goodness I worked in the Mortgage Industry for 12 years and remember rates as high as 17%. We also have a high inventory from which buyers can choose.
Sellers-it has been a hard year. Gone are the days when with so little inventory to choose from, buyers would be knocking at your door as soon as your home was listed. You now have to compete for buyers. Golden rules you must follow. Location and price. There is nothing you can do about location, but you must price it right to sell. If you don't your buyer will be buying some-one elses home. The Spring market is just around the corner. Take action now and make sure your home is priced correctly. Ask your agent to provide you with an up to date CMA.
Remember, eventually price will overcome all objections!
