Plenty of shopping is available with big box stores and more on Rand Road, aka Route 12. Commuting is a breeze, head down Route 53 to I-90, or choose Metra lines that leave from either Barrington or Vernon Hills to get to the City of Chicago.

Lake Zurich's zip code is 60047 and is shared with Kildeer, Long Grove and Hawthorn Woods, smaller neighboring villages with larger and more luxurious homes. Lake Zurich is primarily a single family home community and styles common here are Colonial, Split-levels, Ranches, and in the higher prices Traditional Brick 2 story homes with larger lots up to an acre. Condos are limited with very few available, ranch villas and townhomes can be found with some newer subdivisions built in the last few years.

One of Lake Zurich's other gems is Forest Lake. If you are looking for waterfront homes this might be just right for you, it's a smaller lake than Lake Zurich but there are more waterfront homes here and the subdivision has been under going regeneration for a number of years now with new construction homes also available.
