About The Village of Lake Barrington

Lake Barrington is a quaint village located in Lake County, Illinois. With a population of less than 5,000 people it's one of the northern parts of the Barrington area and is primarily residential homes. Lake Barrington is currently my home town and we enjoy the relaxed pace of life in this beautiful village.

There is a small commercial development but it's away from the residences and located off Route 14 so not a nuisance at all. Recently the Lake Barrington Field House was built which provides a sports hall for a wide variety of events and games. The Onion Pub and a local landscaping company well known in the area-Doering Landscape are also in Lake Barrington.

Commute to the City of Chicago is easy with a local Metra station at Fox River Grove which is often where residents will do grocery shopping and go to the post office or bank as it is not as crowded as Barrington or Lake Zurich. Most children attend the award winning Barrington 220 school district.
