Barrington Luxury Homes. What features and amenities are you looking for in your luxury home? Which part of Barrington would you like to buy a luxury home in? How much privacy do you desire? Do you need acreage for equestrian purposes? Do you want a swimming pool, tennis courts, indoor sports courts, seperate guest quarters? Let me help. 

We have luxury homes in Barrington, Inverness, South Barrington, Lake Barrington and Barrington Hills but South Barrington has long been accepted as the part of Barrington that has the most luxurious homes. Barrington Hills also has newer homes that would be considered luxury, many of which are custom builds for individuals. North Barrington and Wynstone in particular will also provide luxury at the higher price points.

Generally speaking properties that sell for $1 million or more are classified as luxury homes. However in Barrington you will find many homes around this price point that will not give you the amenities or luxury that you are really looking for. You may get a nicely built home or one with a large amount of square footage, but will it provide you with those luxury extras you are really looking for, maybe not.

Our median price point is around $600,000 to $800,000 and so an extra $200,000 is not going to add alot of luxury, especially for homes that sit on 5 or more acres.

Barrington luxury homes that have the extras you are looking for be it upgraded construction, more rooms, lake location or more top of the line features are going to cost between $2 million and $17 million. This is a very wide price range but there are some distinct differences.

For $2 million:
This will buy a home on Wynstone gated community in North Barrington, with 5 bedroom, 6 plus bathrooms, an acre lot, built in 2006 but already totally updated. Or you can buy an older ranch home in Barrington Hills on 5 acres. South Barrington will yield a recently built home with 5 bedroom, 5 plus bathrooms on a 1 acre+ lot. Size of these homes will be about 5000 square feet plus basement. In Lake Barrington you'll get a custom home on 1 to 2 acres built to your specifications on a new gated community.

For $5 million:
This money will buy a custom built home with over 12000 square feet of living space, 7 bedroom, 8 bathrooms, all in todays styles of fixtures and design, granite, marble, travertine, hardwoods, solid cabinetry and more. From this price up you are truly going to find homes with luxury features, imposing foyers, large landscaped lots, and rooms to cater to everyones hobbies; even indoor basketball courts and swimming pools.

Custom Builds:
If you have a vision and want to  create your own luxury home, there are still plenty of vacant lots, or buy an old home on a lot with established landscaping, and create your own paradise. There are some well thought of builders in Barrington, I'll be happy to put you in touch.
